Information collected directly from you
We may collect the following information directly from you:
- Your name, e-mail address and phone number.
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on jwatooling.co.uk (“Site”) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise, for instance, through surveys.
We may also collect information when you:
- search for products;
- submit a form on our website;
- participate in our blog or other social media functions on the Site;
- enter a competition, promotion or survey; and/or
- report a problem with the Site.
Information collected automatically

Legal basis for us processing your personal data
In general, we only rely on consent as a legal basis for processing in relation to sending direct marketing communications to you via email or post. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time and where consent is the only legal basis for processing, we will cease to process data after your consent is withdrawn.
We collect and use your personal data because it is necessary for:

- effectively handling any legal claims or regulatory enforcement actions taken against JWA Tooling ; and fulfilling our duties to our customers, colleagues, shareholders and other stakeholders.
Disclosure of your information to third parties
In order to make certain services available to you, we may need to share your personal data with members of our business and some of our service partners including:
- Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them in relation to processing or delivering your goods.

Where we store your personal data
The personal data that we collect from you will not be transferred or stored at a destination outside the European Economic Area.
How we protect your data
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

The rights that you have in your personal data are due to be expanded significantly after a new law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25 May 2018. We are committed to handling your personal data in the right way and we welcome the new rights introduced; your enhanced rights as from 25 May 2018 are set out below:
- You may opt out of any marketing communications that we send you, even after initially consenting.
- Your information will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- You have the right to access information held about you. Any access request may be subject to a fee specified by law (currently of £10.00).
